Joey's international book release, Pure Feng Shui, was the focus of attention at Chapters bookstore in Mississauga, Toronto on the evening of March 21st, 2009. Joey Yap was in-store to give a talk on the book, as it was his first-ever international book release. In keeping with the book's theme, Joey talked about Feng Shui from a simple, stripped-down perspective that emphasised its roots and basics.

Many of the people present were very keen to hear more about the principles of Classical Feng Shui as it has been handed down over the centuries. It was a refreshing and obvious contrast to forms of Feng Shui that can be considered more New Age, and therefore the audience members were naturally eager and curious to learn more.

The book talk ended with a signing that enabled everyone present to exchange a few words with Joey and get their books autographed.
